BPC-157 5mg / TB-500 5mg Blend – Dual-Peptide Tissue Repair Research Compound

Overview

This BPC-157 / TB-500 blend combines two of the most widely studied repair peptides in preclinical research into one 10mg vial, containing 5mg of each compound. In animal models, both peptides show well-documented effects on healing muscle, tendon, ligament, and gastrointestinal tissues, though they work through distinct biological pathways. By using this single research formulation, investigators can easily study potential synergistic or additive effects while comparing outcome data against each compound used on its own. This product is for research purposes only and is not intended for human administration; it should only be handled by qualified investigators.

BPC-157, or Body Protection Compound-157, is a 15-amino acid synthetic peptide that’s derived from a partial sequence of human gastric juice protein. It might have an unglamorous name, but it’s backed by a substantial body of preclinical evidence across various tissue healing scenarios. TB-500, the synthetic analogue of Thymosin Beta-4 (Tβ4), is a 43-amino acid peptide originally isolated from calf thymus. Its research profile centres on actin regulation, angiogenesis, and cell migration—all of which are key to tissue repair. This combination is frequently studied because the two compounds likely act on different but complementary aspects of the repair process.

For researchers who prefer to study each compound separately, BPC-157 5mg and Thymosin Beta 4 (TB-500) 5mg are both available separately. For research purposes only.

Research Applications

Research into BPC-157/TB-500 blends usually focuses on musculoskeletal repair and gastrointestinal healing. Since the two peptides have complementary mechanistic profiles, they’re particularly useful for investigating multi-pathway repair.

  • Tendon and ligament repair models — studying cellular proliferation, collagen synthesis, and fibroblast activity
  • Muscle injury recovery — satellite cell activation, myocyte repair, and anti-inflammatory signalling
  • Gastrointestinal healing — BPC-157’s well-documented effects on gut barrier integrity and mucosal repair
  • Angiogenesis research — TB-500’s role in upregulating VEGF and promoting vascular remodelling
  • Combination vs. monotherapy comparisons — assessing whether the blend shows additive or synergistic repair outcomes
  • Wound healing studies — both topical and systemic models in rodents

This blend fits right in with the rest of our repair peptide research portfolio. GHK-Cu 50mg is another common choice for tissue repair and regeneration studies; it complements BPC-157’s mechanisms well, particularly in skin and connective tissue models. The KPV 5mg tripeptide also serves as a relevant anti-inflammatory comparator.

Molecular Profile

BPC-157: Sequence: Gly-Glu-Pro-Pro-Pro-Gly-Lys-Pro-Ala-Asp-Asp-Ala-Gly-Leu-Val | Molecular Formula: C₆₂H₉₈N₁₆O₂₂ | MW: 1,419.5 g/mol | CAS: 137525-51-0

TB-500 (Tβ4 fragment): Sequence: Ac-Ser-Asp-Lys-Pro-Asp-Met-Ala-Glu-Ile-Glu-Lys-Phe-Asp-Lys-Ser-Lys-Leu-Lys-Lys-Thr-Glu-Thr-Gln-Glu-Lys-Asn-Pro-Leu-Pro-Ser-Lys-Glu-Thr-Ile-Glu-Gln-Glu-Lys-Gln-Ala-Gly-Glu-Ser | MW: ~4,963 g/mol | CAS: 77591-33-4. This peptide is strictly for research purposes only and is not intended for human administration. It must be handled by qualified investigators in a laboratory setting.

Each vial contains 5mg BPC-157 and 5mg TB-500, lyophilised. They’ve both tested at ≥98% purity by HPLC.

Mechanism of Action

BPC-157 and TB-500 operate through mostly independent pathways, making their combination a particularly interesting area of study. BPC-157 interacts with the NO-system, VEGF signalling, and growth hormone receptor activity. It’s known to upregulate growth factor expression while promoting fibroblast migration. In animal models, it’s shown impressive protective and restorative effects on gastrointestinal tissue, including the healing of gastric ulcers, colonic anastomoses, and fistulas. These properties are for research purposes only and not intended for human administration; they should only be handled by qualified investigators.

TB-500 works mainly through G-actin sequestration. It binds directly to the actin monomer to regulate the actin-beta-thymosin axis, the system governing how cells move and how tissues remodel themselves. By encouraging endothelial cells to migrate and differentiate, TB-500 triggers angiogenesis—the formation of new blood vessels that’s absolutely vital for efficient tissue repair. Beyond that, it upregulates the matrix metalloproteinases needed to remodel the extracellular matrix.

The thinking’s that BPC-157 can accelerate cellular signalling and fibroblast recruitment, while TB-500 handles the vascular supply and cytoskeletal remodelling necessary for sustained tissue regeneration. It isn’t yet clear if this leads to better outcomes than monotherapy, but it is a major question researchers are currently trying to answer.

Storage and Handling

Keep the lyophilised blend at −20°C, tucked away from light and moisture. It’ll stay stable for up to 24 months under these conditions. Reconstitute with bacteriostatic water for injection, then store the solution at 2–8°C and use within 4 weeks. Don’t subject it to freeze-thaw cycling. Use standard aseptic laboratory technique. For research use only.
